Art and Music with a Story.
Everyone has a story, and the arts are one way we connect over them. My name is Dan Morse and I'm an artist and songwriter obsessed with the stories we share. My hope is to connect people through some of my own stories through art and song, and maybe hear yours too!
About the Artist
As a multi-disciplinary artist, my life often feels like one identity crisis after another. When someone asks what I do for a living, I hesitate every time, for slightly longer than is socially acceptable. The problem isn’t that I don’t have an answer. I have plenty. I just couldn’t tell you for sure which title I should claim.
Even as I write this, within the last week I’ve filmed a stop-motion ad, painted a watercolor portrait commission, presented a new packaging design to a coffee company, and recorded a song demo. So what does that make me? I’ll let you know when I find out.
I think the common thread that ties this work together is a desire for to tell a story. I love the way different mediums (illustration, design, song, etc.) allow a story to be told with color, and beauty, and artistry. So without hesitation I’ll define myself as an artist, but what I do for a living is largely up to you!
