Sometimes the beauty is in the possibility, and our dream of a better tomorrow.
 
The U.S. Capitol building is a beautiful building, but certainly evokes complex feelings as well. I decided to create this primarily because it’s that place of push and pull, where art sometimes serves best.
 
The storm clouds in the background represent the potential for that conflict. The polarized political environment. The self-absorbed egotist against the public servant.
 
However, this piece also represents our best hopes and dreams for tomorrow. Those rare servant leaders throughout our history, and those who might take up the torch tomorrow.
